Plan a Spring Rain Garden Webinar & Contractor Meet Up

April 7 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Registration required: http://bit.ly/April7RW

Learn about integrating a rain garden into your spring gardening plans!

With every storm, rain carries pollutants off our roofs, driveways and other hard surfaces to local creeks, Lake Washington and Puget Sound. Rain gardens can help control this stormwater, but we need your help! In selected areas of Seattle, the City of Seattle and King County will pay up to 100 percent of the cost of installing rain gardens on private properties.

This webinar is for homeowners and other property owners in RainWise-eligible basins throughout Seattle who are interested in learning more about the RainWise program and rebates. At this webinar you will learn:

  • about the stormwater problem and solutions we’re using to solve it,
  • a variety of general landscaping and gardening choices that can help, and
  • how to integrate a rain garden into your spring gardening plans.

Also, you will hear from rain garden experts and get resources such as planting lists, planting plans and maintenance guides.

After the presentation you will meet with three different RainWise contractors and have the chance to ask questions specific to your homes. Treat this time as your initial consultations with contractors as you figure out who specifically you may want to work with on your RainWise project.

We recommend that you check your eligibility for a RainWise rebate in advance at https://www.700milliongallons.org/rainwise/eligibility.
