Come for a walk in the neighborhood and learn about RainWise!
The RainWise team will lead a walking tour showcasing RainWise installations in the West Seattle neighborhood. The route is about one mile with some gentle inclines, starting and finishing at the NW Corner of A.T. Milo Park (8402 30th Ave SW, Seattle 98126). Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. Feel free to check out the neighborhood restaurants afterward if you’d like.
With every storm, rain carries pollutants off roofs, driveways, and other hard surfaces into local creeks, Lake Washington, and Puget Sound. Rain gardens and cisterns can help control this stormwater, and we need your help! In selected areas of Seattle, the City of Seattle and King County will pay up to 100 percent of the cost of installing rain gardens and cisterns on your property. Come talk to program staff to learn how your property can be RainWise.
We recommend checking your eligibility for a RainWise rebate before the event. Visit our eligibility page to find out.
